Meditate Your Way To A Perfect Life? Yes, please

I’m what you might call a meditation snacker. I take the necessary nibbles when times get a little crazy. Or when I just need to chill the hell out. So, after completing two meditation courses in the last two years – one with the gorgeously glamorous Carolyne Gowan (ex advertising heavyweight at marie claire magazine turned Deepak devotee) and the other with Dr. Ranga J Premaratna (an astonishing healer, owner of World of Health and so cute you can’t help but want to give him a big squeeze) I have learned a thing or two about breaking through emotional, mental and physical boundaries.

My latest meditative delight comes in the form of Deepak Chopra’s FREE 21-day Meditation Challenge that focuses on the art of creating abundance. I’m three days in, and have already learned, or re-learned, that there are no limitations when it comes to creating the life you want to live. Imagine what you want and focus on getting it. Don’t bother yourself with the minor matter of HOW it will come to you, just know that it will.

Purely Fluffy Example: I was going to Hawaii a few years ago and knew I needed a bikini. Not just any bikini, but a red bikini with white polka dots. Something a little vintage inspired would be ideal. As I was walking out of the office on my final day at work, you’ll never guess what turned up? Yes it did… A RED AND WHITE POLKA DOT BIKINI. I died, and then realised that I manifested this delightfully small piece of fabric and made it my reality. Of course, I could have just gone out and bought the thing, but that’s no fun, is it?

But obviously it goes deeper than that. A lot deeper. Deepak deeper. Where you start to change your mindset to realise that you can, in fact, create the life you want by simply focusing on it. Meditation is one great way of doing this as it allows you the time, space and energy to close out the unnecessary, and invite in the necessary. Clear out the gunk to make way for the new, fresh and clean. It’s like a little spring clean for your mind.

So, Happies, as Mercury decides to turn retrograde (again? Really?) may I suggest you take the time for a little reflection on your own life, desires and attractions this week. Perhaps you need some more abundance in you life, in whatever form that may be – love, money, health, time – and focus on creating the life that you really want. Just ask Deepak, he’ll show you.

Tell me Happies…

Do you meditate?
Are you inviting abundance into your life?

I meditate daily now & it has made such a difference! Hard to fit it into the day sometimes, so I do it on my daily ferry commute, morning & afternoon.

Thanks for posting this yaz! I’ve signed up (a few days late but ill catch up). I completely agree with you about manifestation, and perhaps regular meditation keeps us in that flow so things can happen.

What a great post, I just stumbled across your blog and I love the happiness cocktail experiment! I’ve just signed up for the 21 day meditation course. I tried meditating this morning but my ego got in the way a lot.
I have a speedy brain, and have not trained myself to be able to sit for not even 5 minutes yet.
But at least I am trying and manifesting and writing my affirmations. Would you have any tips for me that you’ve found incredibly helpful? Thanks

Thank you so much Yaz, you have no idea how timely your post is. I’ve been a regular reader of your blogs for a while, but have never been compelled to leave a comment. But from the bottom of my heart, a big thank you for your gorgeous generosity of spirit xox
